Regional work
The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has developed approaches to address human trafficking in many regions of the world.
In some areas, there are specific programmes to prevent trafficking and to help identify and protect survivors. In other places, our core humanitarian work addresses the risk of trafficking. This might include reuniting families and ensuring migrants are treated humanely. It also involves supporting at-risk adults and children who may be discriminated against because of their gender, sexuality or particular needs.
Both the Action for Trafficked Persons Network and the Asia Pacific Migration Network operate regionally to support and expand this area of our work.
